In Haridwar, CM Dhami Touts ‘Jihad’ Laws, Madrasa Closures and Operation Kalnemi

Location: Haridwar, Uttarakhand

At the Rajat Utsav program, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted his government’s measures to maintain the identity, culture, and demographic composition of Devbhoomi. He spoke about the implementation of laws targeting religious conversion, riots, ‘love jihad,’ ‘land jihad,’ and ‘thook jihad,’ and claimed that strict action was being taken against the “jihadi mentality.” He mentioned action against alleged “illegal” madrasas, claiming his administration has closed more than 250 madrasas. He also referenced “Operation Kalnemi,” an initiative he described as being against those targeting and harming the “Sanatan Sanskriti.” He introduced a bill to dissolve the madrasa board, claiming that only those madrasas in Uttarakhand that teach the syllabus prescribed by our education board will operate.
