At a Ram Katha, BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya contrasted Sanatan practices with those of “vidharmis,” referring to them as “rakshas.” He claimed that if attendees had been born in Syria or Pakistan, they would be eating meat and bones, and alleged that “vidharmis” celebrate festivals through animal slaughter near temples. He asserted that “this is not Karachi” and warned that “we know how to deal with such people,” accusing them of dirtying the surroundings.
