Editor-in-Chief of far-right news channel Sudarshan News, Suresh Chavhanke, during a public address, used the anti-Muslim slur “Lande” and referred to Muslim politicians as “Aurangzeb’s children.” He claimed that Muslims are planning to take over India by increasing their population and alleged that “4 lakh temples were broken” to build mosques over them. He repeatedly spread conspiracies such as “love jihad,” falsely claiming that 1 crore Hindu women fall victim to it every year, and also promoted conspiracies like “land jihad” and “vyapaar jihad.” He concluded the speech by administering an oath, calling on attendees to fight for Hinduism.
