In Jammu, Pravin Togadia Calls Muslim Admissions an ‘Atrocity’ Against Hindus

Location: Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir

Pravin Togadia, founder and president of AHP-Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, framed the admission of Muslim students to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Nursing/Medical College—run by the Vaishno Devi shrine board—as an “atrocity” and an “insult” to Jammu’s Hindu community. He questioned why 42 Muslim students were admitted, claiming that “rivers of Hindu blood were shed to protect the country,” and asked whether Hindus had become “incompetent” to be denied these seats. He further alleged that despite the abrogation of Article 370, Hindu youth in Jammu continue to face “insult” and deprivation of rights. Togadia raised the issue of gun licence renewals, warning of protests if even a single Hindu licence is blocked. AHP-Ojaswini leader Rajni Thakural called for the establishment of Hanuman Chalisa centres and fearmongered over an alleged “demographic shift,” claiming they are necessary to protect Hindus and Hindu women from being cut into “35 pieces.”
