Pravin Togadia, founder and president of AHP–Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, glorified the karseva movement, portraying it as a unifying Hindu effort for a “dharm yudh,” claiming he made the people from all the villages fight for it. He further asserted that November 9 was chosen, based on the Hindu calendar, not for peaceful negotiation but for a “massacre” inspired by the Mahabharata. He further claimed that had such action occurred earlier, Kashi, Mathura, and Somnath would not have been destroyed, India would not have been divided, and “demons” like Jinnah would have been violently eliminated.
