At a Ganesh celebration organised by Hindu Rashtra Sena, President Dhananjay Desai warned that India would “turn into Pakistan or Bangladesh” if Hindutva was not kept alive. He demonised Bangladeshis and Rohingyas, threatened violence against those sheltering them in Bangalore, and declared that only those chanting “Jai Shri Ram” and “Vande Mataram” would remain in India. He also launched tirades against hijab and “jihad.”
