BJP held a rally thanking Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for recent eviction drives targeting Bengali-speaking Muslims, whom they alleged were illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. Led by BJP MLA Bhubon Pegu, participants raised slogans like “Bangladeshi Go Back” and demanded the eviction of those they claimed were Bangladeshis.
