Bir Lachit Sena members harassed Azad Choudhary, a Muslim contractor they had long targeted, falsely accusing him of being an illegal Bangladeshi immigrant. They confronted him at the Municipality office over his tender work, questioning how a “suspected citizen” was awarded a contract. Choudhary alleged they also took his phone and money.
