At the Rajeev Dixit Birth Anniversary – Swadeshi Diwas event organised by Arya Samaj, far-right news editor and Sudarshan News chief Suresh Chavhanke claimed that India would be “Islamised” within the next ten years. He called Mohammed Madani a “gaddar”, made inflammatory statements, including, “We don’t demonise Muslims; it’s you who straps a bomb to your chest, chants Allah-hu-Akbar, and explodes!” and further alleged that mosques conspire against the nation after namaaz. He also fearmongered about demographic change and the alleged decline of the Hindu population.
