At a fast organised by Hindu Aikya Vedi to protest “love jihad”, leader and official spokesperson R.V. Babu spread the anti-Muslim conspiracy of “love jihad”, citing Malayali women who allegedly committed suicide after relationships with Muslim men. He falsely claimed, “All women who converted to Islam are today at ISIS camps.” He demanded an “anti-love jihad law” and insisted that “love jihad” be added to the Indian Penal Code.
