Hindu Sangharsh Samiti staged a protest against the allotment of land for a kabristan, demanding its cancellation and the suspension of officials they accused of “colluding with Muslims to stab Hindus in the back.” Although the allotment was reportedly made in 2004, they termed it an encroachment and warned that if the government failed to act, they would take matters into their own hands.
