At the Smriti Prakatyotsav Mela, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath proposed renaming Mustafabad to Kabirdham. He also claimed that the government has been funding Hindu religious sites, alleging that earlier funds were being spent on the boundaries of kabristans (graveyards).
