BJP Rajya Sabha MP and former Uttar Pradesh DGP Brij Lal confronted five sanitation workers, accusing them of being “Bangladeshi ghuspeths (infiltrators).” The workers identified themselves as residents of different villages in Assam, but Lal dismissed their statements, claiming they were “Bangladeshis” and a “threat to the nation.” Lal alleged that allowing such people to live among citizens was akin to “giving the ISI an opportunity to spread terrorism,” accusing them of coming with the “dream of Ghazwa-e-Hind.”
