MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal delivered a speech targeting Muslims, calling for the demolition of all alleged illegal mosques in Karnataka using bulldozers and threatening that if they came to power, they would destroy all mosques. He used derogatory language for Muslims, termed them stone pelters and terrorists, and alleged they forcibly convert Hindus to Islam. He claimed Muslims cannot live peacefully anywhere and told them to go to Pakistan if they cannot. He also cheered Israel for killing Palestinians and bombing Qatar, urged Hindus to elect a saffron-flag government, and to buy from and deal only with Hindu vendors.
