At a Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) Foundation Day event, speaker Khagendra Bhargava targeted Muslims, claiming Hindus and Muslims can never live in brotherhood. He claimed democracy and the impartiality of the army and police would last only till Hindus remained a majority in the Parliament and the forces. He falsely alleged that one lakh Hindu girls are taken by “jihadis” every year and claimed that their organisation works to bring them back. He invoked the Ram Temple, vowed to build similar temples in Kashi and Mathura, and raised the slogan, “Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura are just a glimpse, the entire country is next.” He further urged that every Hindu must be armed.
