At a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sangh Shiksha Varg, Regional Pracharak Mahendra Sharma promoted the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad,” describing it as one of country’s major challenges. He asserted that the world recognises India as a Hindu country, citing an incident in which Indian Muslims were allegedly referred to as “Hindu Muslims” during the Hajj pilgrimage. He also referred to those who describe India as a secular country as “those with cow dung-filled brains.”
