At the Virat Hindu Sammelan, far-right news editor Suresh Chavhanke fearmongered about Hindu population decline, falsely claimed Hindus are already a minority in nine states and would soon be so in thirteen states, and linked this to the conspiracy of “Ghazwa-e-Hind.” He invoked slogans such as “Batoge to katoge” and “Ghatoge to mitoge,” warned that Hindus would be erased if their population declined, claimed most Muslims have more than four children, and spread the conspiracy of “love jihad” while demonising Muslims. He further told Hindus they must be prepared to die and kill and pledged to prevent India from becoming an “Islamicstan.”
