Authorities demolished the around four to five decade old Baba Faulad Shah mazar (shrine), alleging it was an illegal encroachment on government pond land near Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU). Officials carried out the demolition after the DM court upheld an eviction order, while the shrine committee maintained that the dargah had existed since the time of their ancestors and that they had received no prior notice of the demolition.
