At the India Today Conclave, Gujarat Minister of State Harsh Sanghvi defended his state’s anti-“love jihad” law, calling it necessary to stop a “planned pattern of deception”. He alleged “thousands of cases” of “love jihad” in Gujarat and claimed it was a “modus operandi” of men “hiding their identities” to trap Hindu women.
