Twenty-six Christian families were reportedly forced to leave the village following allegations of religious conversion. The families took shelter under trees outside the village amid heavy police presence and said they did not want to leave. However, other villagers reportedly stated that they would only be allowed to reside in the village if they reverted to their previous religion. Following mediation by the administration, the families were allowed to return to their homes after 12 hours.
