Bhante Sanghpriya Rahul, who also serves as a member of the Hindi Advisory Committee under the Ministry of Home Affairs, promoted the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad,” alleging that Muslim men conceal their identities to lure Dalit women and later traffic them abroad. He referred to Muslims as “gidar” (jackals) and “bhediya” (wolves), urging women to avoid relationships with them and claiming that such involvement would ruin their lives. Referring to the recent death of Tarun Butolia during a clash in Delhi on Holi, he further alleged that while Muslims did not object to practices such as triple talaq, they became offended over what he described as “a little bit of water.”
