At a meeting against “love jihad” organised by Hindu Jagaran Manch, leader Kundan Mahto claimed that the organisation’s aim is to create an “Akhand Hindu Rashtra” by including Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Kashmir and converting them into a “100% Hindu society.” He also peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theories of “love jihad” and “land jihad,” asserting that they would be “brought down to dust by bulldozers.” He termed the previous Trinamool Congress government “jihadi” and accused it of “pushing half of Bengal into Islamic fundamentalism” under the guise of politics. Blaming the Trinamool Congress for spreading what he termed the “cancer of Islam,” which he claimed had enabled “love jihad” and similar practices, he asserted that it must be tackled “by law or by force.”
