During an event, Hindu nationalist singer Kanhaiya Mittal called for a country where “neither Hindus are divided nor cows are slaughtered” and demanded that cows be declared “Rajya Mata.” He claimed that some people live in India and benefit from its resources, but behave like the “descendants of Aurangzeb” and refuse to chant “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” He asserted that hoisting a saffron (“Bhagwa”) flag symbolises protection from evil and victory, and claimed that a flag on a house signals to any “Abdul” passing by that it belongs to those who “drove it into Babur’s chest” and built the Ram Mandir. He alleged that “Bangladeshi ghuspaithiya” (infiltrators) disguise themselves as Hindus to befriend and target Hindu women, and urged Aadhaar-based identity verification. He further called on women to “be like Durga, be like Kali, but never be burqewali,” and asserted that the country belongs not to the “fathers of Akbar or Aurangzeb,” but to Hindu historical figures such as Maharana Pratap and Prithviraj Chauhan.
