At an AHP-Rashtriya Bajrang Dal event celebrating AHP founder and president Pravin Togadia, leader Manoj Kumar glorified the demolition of the Babri mosque, declaring that they had “climbed on the chest of ‘Mullas’ and raised saffron.” He claimed that the “demons” of this era are born from Islam and asserted that, in order to eliminate “jihad,” madrasas must be banned. He further spoke about an alleged rise in religious conversions in Punjab and opposed the construction of a church in the state. He said that if Hindus had not taken up the dhanush and trishul, the Ram temple would not have been built, and added that “Vishwanath and Mathura are still left.” He also propagated the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad” and asserted that religious rituals like the Hanuman Chalisa are a means to purge “jihadi-ness” from society.
