Members of Hindu Shiv Bhawani Sena, led by Luv Kumar Singh, stopped and harassed a couple in public, handed them copies of the Hanuman Chalisa, and protested Valentine’s Day celebrations, alleging that the occasion spreads obscenity and “corrupts society.” Singh declared the event “against Indian culture,” asserted that it serves as a front for alleged “love jihad” and conversion, and warned that his team would patrol parks and public spaces to monitor couples and distribute copies of the Hanuman Chalisa.
