During the inauguration of Jouljibi Fair and Development Exhibition 2025, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, mentioned the implementation of laws against religious conversion, riots, “love jihad,” “land jihad,” and “thook jihad,” and claimed that strict action was being taken. He mentioned action against alleged “illegal” madrasas. He stated that a bill had been introduced to dissolve the Madrasa Board, asserting that only madrasas teaching the state-prescribed syllabus would be allowed to operate. Dhami claimed that the opposition was resisting these moves because they support “terrorist schools.” He mentions the land laws that have been implemented, taking strict action against “land mafias.” Dhami stated that “no jihadi mentality will be allowed to flourish, nor will any school promoting terrorism be permitted to operate.” He emphasised that the government’s effort is to establish institutions providing “value-based, modern nationalist education” instead of centres giving “extremist religious teachings.” He additionally referenced “Operation Kalnemi,” describing it as an initiative against those attacking “Sanatan Sanskriti,” and concluded that the government would not spare corrupt individuals, counterfeiters, or “jihadis,” promising strict action.
