A group of far-right Hindu nationalist vigilantes led by Bipasha Manikam threatened a biryani restaurant to shut down permanently, alleging it hurt “Hindu sentiments.” The mob abused the Muslim cooks with anti-Muslim slurs such as “Landas” and threatened violence and demolition if the restaurant did not close.
