VHP-Bajrang Dal members staged a protest against the burial of a Christian woman’s body and forced the family to shift the burial to a Christian cemetery in Jagdalpur, approximately 300 km away, claiming that the region falls under the Fifth Schedule and that they would not allow Christian burials in the villages.
