In Rajepur, monk threatens violence against critics and spreads population myths

Location: Rajepur, Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh

At the Akhil Bhartiya Kavya Samaroh by Adarsh Ramleela Committee, far-right monk Mahant Raju Das incited violence against those who oppose Sanatan, saying, “that is why we keep rifles behind us; we will shove them into the chest… whoever raises such a voice will have their tongue cut out, whoever raises a finger will have their finger cut off, whoever looks up will have their eye gouged out — only then will we be safe.” He added, “We do not say ‘Allah’; we say ‘Inshasuar,’” and declared that those who speak against Sanatan “have no right to live on earth.” He asserted that there is only one dharma — Sanatan — and that the rest are sampraday (sects); those who follow Mohammad’s ideas, he said, have formed an organization called Islam. He also fearmongered about the Muslim population, claiming they have “three wives and seventy-three children” while Hindus have two, and alleged this was occurring because Hindus are not “kattar” (radical).
