Members of VHP-Bajrang Dal, led by Naresh Uniyal, and Hindu Suraksha Seva Sena accused a Muslim man of trapping Hindu girls by concealing his identity, citing his pierced ears as evidence. They claimed to have caught him earlier at a gym. They further accused him of conducting collective prayers in the market area and demanded that his license be cancelled.
