During the VHP–Bajrang Dal’s “Shaurya Diwas,” Anuj Walia glorified the construction of the Ram Mandir and the demolition of the Babri structure, stating that the date, chosen by monks, is now celebrated as Shaurya Diwas. He claimed that although the Ram temple has been built, a “jihadi mentality” continues to exist. Referring to The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story, he alleged persecution of Hindus in Kashmir and claimed similar situations are unfolding in Bangladesh presently. He further spoke about the demography of Uttarkashi, alleging that people with a “jihadi mentality” are settling in various regions, illegally constructing mosques, and altering the demographic composition, claiming around 35% settlement.
