Hindu nationalists, including members of the Bajrang Dal, shut down a “Kerala Eatery” near the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) after alleging that it was selling beef. They also claimed that EFLU students organize beef festivals and declared that such activities would no longer be tolerated. The restaurant owner, however, maintained that the meat in question was buffalo.
