At the VHP-Bajrang Dal “Shourya Yatra” program, participants marched with swords and other weapons. A speaker asserted that peace requires the worship and use of arms, invoking the Partition and alleging that Babur destroyed the Ayodhya Janmabhoomi in 1526, killed Hindus, and used their blood to make bricks for the Babri Masjid. He asserted that Bajrang Dal must become powerful to fight such “atrocities,” urged Hindus to leave temples and awaken “Hanuman-like valor” to fight. He claimed that riots always occur on Fridays in India and elsewhere, claiming Muslims collectively attack and kill innocents after namaz.
