After the police arrested Chandni Qureshi and her father, Islam Qureshi, over allegations of forcibly converting Ayush Malik to Islam following a complaint filed by his father, Ayush publicly refuted the allegations, claiming that he had converted to Islam of his own accord. Earlier, Superintendent of Police (SP) Narendra Pratap Singh had alleged that Ayush was made to watch videos from “Pakistan” and taken to dargahs and mosques to change his faith so as to usurp his father’s property.
