During the Khatiya Batakahi programme, former BJP MLA Raghvendra Pratap Singh called for the removal of loudspeakers used for the Muslim call to prayer, saying they should be taken down by morning and warning that they should not be used again. He urged attendees to report any village where the loudspeakers continued to operate, declaring, “mic nhi bajega” (the loudspeaker will not play).
