Members of the Jatiyo Sangrami Sena stopped a Muslim scrap collector and urged him to assault individuals from the Miya community if he encountered any, claiming that they roam the area during the day and engage in theft at night. The group also went door to door with sticks searching for Bengali-speaking Muslims and incited residents by saying, “Wherever you see a ‘miya,’ beat him brutally with a stick.”
