Communal tension erupted in Tarana town after a VHP–Bajrang Dal leader, Sohail Thakur, was allegedly assaulted. Based on his statement, a case has been filed against approximately six people for attempted murder. Following the incident, violence escalated as mobs resorted to stone-pelting and vandalism, damaging shops and buses parked in the area. As tensions intensified, police intervened to disperse the crowds, imposed Section 144, and deployed additional forces to control the situation.
