Lalit Sharma, state president of the Hindu Raksha Dal in Uttarakhand, while protesting the killing of Tarun during a clash on Holi, declared that they would play Holi on Eid, even if it meant a “khoon ki Holi” (Holi with blood). He announced that a Panchayat would be held in the locality and warned that Eid celebrations would be ruined. Urging supporters to mobilise, he asked each attendee to bring at least ten people, reiterating that Muslims would not be allowed to celebrate Eid and that Namaz would not be permitted at the mosque.
