In Uttarakhand, Speaker Opposes Muslim Settlement and Religious Conversions

Location: Kathiyan, Jaunsar-Bawar, Uttarakhand

During a Hindu Sammelan organised by Ekal Hindu Samaj, a speaker glorified the protest against and demolition of the Sanjauli mosque in Himachal Pradesh, and questioned why Hindus do not oppose Christian religious conversions and the allocation of land to Muslim Gujjars. Referring to Muslims as “jihadis,” he claimed that more than 15,000 “jihadis” from Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, and Deoband had settled in the region. He further asserted that the country belongs to Hindus and declared that they would never allow a Muslim to become Prime Minister of the country.
