During the “Devbhoomi Silver Festival and Winter Chardham Yatra” program, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted his government’s measures to protect the state’s “culture and demographic composition.” He mentioned the implementation of laws against religious conversion, riots, “love jihad,” “land jihad,” and “thook jihad,” claiming strict actions against such “ghrinit mansikta” (heinous mindsets). He referenced the initiative “Operation Kalnemi,” which he described as being against “jihadi” targeting and harming the “Sanatan Hindu Dharm.” Dhami stated strict actions had been taken against “land jihad,” claiming the “freeing” of over 10,000 acres of government land from alleged encroachment by “land jihadis.” He claimed strict action against those targeting “Sanatan Dharm” and freeing of encroached government land from “land jihadi,” alleging that some people have issues with this because they only care about appeasing vote banks. He alleged the Opposition has issues with the government for taking action against “ghuspaith (infiltrators)” and asserted that Congress had allowed “illegal ghuspaith (infiltration)” in the state. He claimed that the government was acting against a “divisive mentality,” with the dissolution of the Madrasa Board, and restrictions to prescribed curriculum. Dhami stated, “In Devbhoomi, we want to establish temples of knowledge and values, not separatist centres that promote radical mindsets,” claiming closure of 250 madrasas, which he described as “illegal” and accused of misleading children.
