Cow vigilantes affiliated with Hindu Dharma Sena, led by state president Rajan Tripathi, stopped five trucks carrying goats for Bakrid and allegedly assaulted the drivers. A commotion broke out when the vigilantes attempted to take the trucks to a cow shelter and were confronted by AIMIM members led by Zubair Pathan. The police later asked them to file a formal complaint and reportedly stated that the trucks would be released.
