During a Hindu Jan Akrosh Morcha organised by Sakal Hindu Samaj, a far-right monk accused Christians of luring and deceiving Hindus into converting, and threatened violence against the community. Another far-right monk reportedly described Jesus Christ as a “swindler” and the “illegitimate child” of Mary. As part of the same event, a protest march led by far-right leader Mahant Ramgiri saw participants chanting “Bhagao Padri” (“chase the pastors away”) and “Jai Shri Ram.”
