Religious preacher Aniruddhacharya peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad,” alleging that Muslim men are trained and funded to target Hindu women. He claimed that a “cow worshipper” cannot marry those who consume beef and alleged they would be force-fed it. He alleged that “love jihadis” lure women into marriage, then abandon them with children or traffic them. He made colourist remarks, alleging they fix rates for women of different categories, and dehumanised women by comparing them to “chewing gum,” claiming they are discarded once “used.”
