At a Hindi Journalism Day event organised by the National Union of Journalists and Braj Press Club, Sudarshan News editor-in-chief Suresh Chavhanke peddled conspiracy theories such as “love jihad” and “land jihad” and claimed that the launch of Sudarshan Bihar would help prevent these, along with cow slaughter and “religious conversion.” He further alleged that Muslim women marry Pakistani men and settle in India, suggesting their population had reached 80 lakhs. He also falsely claimed that there are 10 crore “infiltrators” in the country, including 1 crore in Maharashtra, 40 lakhs in Mumbai, and 30 lakhs in Delhi.
