Top themes from CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s campaign speech: “Under PM Modi’s leadership, our religious faith and traditions are being revived—Article 370 was removed in Kashmir, triple talaq abolished, the Citizenship Amendment and Waqf Amendment laws implemented. In Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, we introduced a Uniform Civil Code and strict laws against counterfeiters, ‘love jihad,’ ‘land jihad,’ ‘thook jihad,’ and enacted anti-riot and anti-conversion laws. We also dissolved the Madrasa Board—after July 1, 2026, only madrasas approved by our state syllabus will operate. On the other hand, RJD, Congress party, and several other parties have worked on appeasement and an anti-national agenda. These are the same people who considered Ram to be imaginary and thought of the Waqf Board’s entire property as their estate (jagir); opposed the abolition of triple talaq law, opposed the end of Article 370 in Kashmir, and supported slogans to break the nation. This ‘anti-national gang’ insults people of all parts of the country—Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand—protects ghuspaithiyas (infiltrators), and lets them settle in Bihar—taking away the rights of people of Bihar and perpetrating injustice, because in appeasement politics, they only see their vote-bank. Will you stand with the BJP-NDA alliance that regards the nation as supreme, or will you stand with those “ghuspaithiyas?” Will you stand with those who passed a Uniform Civil Code in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand under PM Modi’s leadership, or will you stand with those who, in the name of Shariat, openly give license to exploit women?”
