Speaking at a Hindu Suraksha Samiti event marking the birth anniversary of BJP founder Syama Prasad Mukherjee, state president Abhijit Das Chandra called for Muslims to be expelled from India while promoting the conspiracy theories of “love jihad” and “land jihad.” Referring to Muslims as “jihadis,” he claimed that madrasas produce “jihadi terrorists” and demanded that all madrasas be shut down. He also called for laws to confiscate Muslim-owned properties for the rehabilitation of poor Hindus, described West Bengal as the “Bengali Hindu homeland,” and demanded an end to the public broadcast of the azan. He urged Muslims to “live like us or leave,” advocated reclaiming the Adina Mosque as the Adinath Temple and converting mosques into Hindu temples, and called for “revenge for 800 years” and the introduction of 100% job reservations for Bengali Hindus.
