Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane at Award Event Calls Muslims ‘Green Snakes,’ Incites Violence Over ‘Love Jihad’

Location: Angaon, Bhiwandi, Maharashtra

At an award distribution ceremony organized by Bharatmata Yuva Pratishthan, BJP MLA and Maharashtra’s Minister of Fisheries Nitesh Rane referred to Muslims as “green snakes” and told them, “Know your place. This is not your father’s Pakistan. There is a Hindutva government here.”

Rane spread the conspiracies of ‘love jihad’ and ‘land jihad’ while targeting azaan and Sharia law. He incited violence, saying, “If they look at our Hindu women and try to do ‘love jihad,’ do what you have to. I will back you up. Don’t leave even one of them!” He also encouraged police brutality, stating, “The police are free to take serious action against those who look at our Hindu sisters. The action must be so severe that no one dares to repeat it.”

Rane then made inflammatory remarks about ‘Al-Sham’ village, claiming, “Soon they will change Bhiwandi’s name to ‘Al-Bhaam’ or ‘Al-Faam.’”
