At the Rajim Kumbh Mela, a monk declared, “Our identity is with our tilak and choti, not the topi. Only if you have a tilak and choti are you Indian.”
Another monk called for a boycott of “jihadis” and said, “Vidharmis have an agenda against all Kumbhs. The government should obey the Akhadas and boycott ‘jihadis.’”
He further questioned, “If we cannot go to Mecca or Medina, why should they be allowed to visit the Kumbh? They earn money from us and then attack us.”
