Terror Conspiracy Case News: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting searches at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley in a terror conspiracy case, officials said Thursday.
The searches took place in Shopian, Kulgam and Pulwama in south Kashmir, and Sopore and Kupwara in north Kashmir. An official said the searches are being simultaneously conducted at 32 locations across the Valley.
Police officers said the central investigation agency sleuths were accompanied by J&K Police and paramilitary forces.
In south Kashmir’s Shopian, the searches are being conducted at Reban Nildoora and Check-e-Choland villages. Official said the searches are also going on at Devsar, Bugam, Sonigam and Manzgam villages of neighbouring Kulgam district. Officials said the sleuths also raided “a few places in south Kashmir’s Pulwama”.
In north Kashmir, the NIA teams have conducted raids at multiple locations in Sopore and Kupwara.
An official said that the raids are being conducted in a case registered by the central agency three years ago. The case was registered by the NIA in Jammu in 2022 against several “terrorist organisations and over ground workers for terror conspiracy”.
