On June 11, BJP appointed Surajpal Ammu, president of Karni Sena, as their spokesperson for Haryana. He was awarded this position after a video that goes viral on various social media platforms. In that video, he is openly supporting and encouraging Asif’s murder, who was murdered by a Hindu mob in Mewat, Haryana. In that same video, he was also calling for the mass murder of people who belongs to a particular community and called them butchers.

The BJP has gotten to power off communalism and dividing people.

BJP is one of the largest and richest political parties in the world. It raises a lot of questions about the future of a nation and its people when political parties appoint these types of people at higher or core levels. It’s also not wrong to say that, these types of incidents give birth to the genocide of people and sometimes become a cause of the division of a whole nation politically, physically, and ideologically. In the past, we have witnessed these types of things with Germany and Rwanda. It’s not a new phenomenon, India is witnessing these types of things for a long time. But in New India, the number of these types of incidents increased drastically. Now hate and communal speech have become normal at least for a group of people and also their butter and bread. In quite a few political parties this hate and communal speech are the certificates of promotions and achievements.

In March 2016, Anant Hegde, then Member of Parliament of BJP from Karnataka said as long as we have Islam in the world there will be no end to terrorism. If we are unable to end Islam, we won’t be able to end terrorism. In sept. 2017, he was promoted as Union Minister of Skill Development and entrepreneurship.

Pragya Singh Thakur, who was accused of the 2008 Malegaon bomb last also ran for member of parliament in 2019 from BJP and won.
Yogi Adityanath, the current chief minister of Utter Pradesh said in November 2015 that there is no difference between the language of Shahrukh Khan and Hafiz Saeed. In September 2014 he said, where there are 10-20% minorities, stray communal incidents take place. Where there are 20-35% minorities, serious communal incidents take place. Where there is a minority of more than 35%, non-Muslims can’t live there. Except for these two, there were other instances of hate and communal speech. After this, he becomes the chief minister of Utter Pradesh in 2015.

Tejasvi Surya, a 28-year young man and a lawyer by profession was thrust into the public spotlight when he called India’s parliamentary election “a test of the common Indian’s patriotism”. “If you are with Modi, you are with India, and if you are not with Modi, you are anti-India,” he thunders in a video watched 80,000 times on YouTube and widely circulated on WhatsApp. Weeks after this speech went viral, the young firebrand was tapped by Modi and Shah to run for parliament from Bangalore.

As human beings, we have to seriously introspect ourselves and our democracy other it will be too late to put things in their place. These few examples show which direction we are heading. It is one of the dangerous diseases which is slowly eating up Indian democracy. In time, it will convert into poison and will harm the very idea of India.
